Folyo is a clean, minimal & well-optimized modular WordPress portfolio theme. You can use Folyo for showcasing your work to your audience. What does modular mean?

It means you can build your homepage using Folyo’s custom pre-built modules. It’s like a page builder, but with less distraction and no unnecessary elements. All modules were built by following WordPress’ widget architecture which means you will already be familiar with. Possibilities are endless – mix them together and create your own styles, be creative. Or import our demo site and use it as a starting point. All the homepage versions on our demo site were built by modules.

Why Folyo?

No external page builder – Page builders are great, however, they come with extra complexity and unnecessary elements. Instead, we created custom widgets (modules) and used WordPress’ widget system – what’s already great and you’re familiar with – to build custom homepages.

Focused on performance – Images are lazy-loaded which means your visitors don’t have to wait until your portfolio images are loaded. Instead, they’re loaded on demand. Also the image sizes are calculated dynamically which means your mobile browser will load the smaller version of the images instead of the larger version for desktop browsers.

No hundreds of fonts – Your website isn’t supposed to be a font library. The typography matters, and we put extra attention on the typography for Folyo. It only uses a single font which is an advantage for the performance and simplicity.

Gutenberg compatible – WordPress 5.0 introduced a great new editor which is called Gutenberg. You can use pre-built blocks to write beautiful content and Folyo enables the new editor on portfolio items and blog posts.
